Correct
My prediction of leaving at 10:15 was correct. We left at almost exactly that time. We arrived at my sister's house at roughly 3:30, and it was good. My brother-in-law showed up a bit after, and I went for a ride in his CLK.. or is it SLK 230, awesome car. 190 horsepower.. smooth ride. But the kicker is, I am going to drive it tomorrow. Oh yes, I will drive it on the morrow. Me, The Scully, behind the wheel of a Mercedes, its a view of things to come.. dun dun dun!

Barstow
We stopped in Barstow like usual, stretching our legs, emptying our bladders, and getting lunch. My parents went to McDonalds, like always, but I've been on this massive anti-burger kick lately, so I wandered in the back to Quizno's... they stalked me, and we ended up having that for lunch. Good stuff. Lunch was followed up by the customary buying of lottery tickets by my mother. While she was in line, after my father who was buying ice cream, I took note of a..note on the register about lotto tickets, and I asked my mom for one dollar, American. As it happens, the state of California deems me, as an 18 year old, able to waste my money on the lottery, and so today, I bought, with my mother's money a lottery ticket. I know I will not win. I know the odds of me even getting 3 numbers (or is it 4) to win $5 has absolutely staggering odds against it happening. I believe the odds are so against me winning the $17 million dollar jackpot, I am more likely to be struck down in my chair by two bolts of lightning at once, even though I don't believe there is a cloud in the sky at the moment. Nonetheless, I enjoyed wasting my mother's money, and the way I see it, its just practice for college, isn't it?

Topics
I'd like to take a moment to stop and point out what most of you already know; I can't stay on a subject to save my life. Speaking of life savers... I don't eat them, but did you ever think of where the name came from? I'd like to take this time to pay homage to the little round floaties that save the lives of sailors. Speaking of sailors, I saw U-571 today, and it was pretty good, it was a thrill a minute, except for when the computer froze, or went back to the opening scene, or went all choppy, and I had to restart. In fact, can you believe 5 minutes in near the end of the movie took me nearly 30 minutes to watch, because I had to restart the computer every time... How annoying is that? Shiznit. (I'm going to make it easy for my former classmates and say its about as annoying as I was in Ms. Thomson-Dunn's class on a review day. I'll let you pick which one...) Dude, I was so pissed off. Bam! Stayed on topic well, no?
