I got a haircut today, came home, my mother did not notice at first. Then, when she did, she promptly insulted me, by noticing.
Mom: Oh, you got your haircut, good.
Me: I told you I was going to get my haircut by the time we left, you didn't think I was going to do it.
Mom: Well, you rarely do anything.
Me: I said I was going to do something and I did it, this surprises you. Thanks for the confidence.
Really, wtf, I mean, aren't parents supposed to be supportive and helpful. That was just insulting. Imagine that, I did something I said I was going to do. Encouragement? No, we can't have that now can we? Thanks mom.
