Tonight
Erin, Brandon and I got together this evening. I picked up Erin around 5:30, and we drove to Brandon's house without his knowledge. We pulled into his gated community, and I whipped out my cell phone. I slyly called Brandon as we pulled up to his house. His mom answered the phone, I casually asked for Brandon, and as my car came to a stop in front of his house, he responded. I simply said, "Open your front door." I apparently don't annunciate well, and he didn't hear me, but I shortly got the point across, and was quite surprised to come to it, as Erin and I approached the door. Brandon opened the door, and there we were, as I broke an invisible ten foot barrier between us, I hit the "end" button on my phone. Its an unofficial law now, you can't be on the phone with someone that you're sharing eye contact with, and/or can hear their voice in stereo, because you're standing that close to them. Please, now that you're in formed, follow it. You look like an idiot otherwise. Really.
We went inside, played a game or two of pool. I always play pool when I'm at Brandon's, I can't explain it, I just enjoy it. Brandon, being the ever hospitable fellow he is, offered Erin and I a drink. He got me a Dr Pepper when I grinned at the question, he brought Erin one too, she didn't really drink much of it, I ended up having about one and three fourths cans before we got to Applebee's.
We left for Applebee's, arrived, and Eileen remembered I was the "no pickle guy," and she thought Erin was the "extra pickles girl" but thats Maria. Anyway, I asked if Tina was working tonight, and she said yes, and took us to be in "Tina's area." Tina's a cool waitress, 27, two kids, and very, very nice. How else could she put up with waiting on me? Anyway, she brought me two Dr Peppers before she even asked for our orders. Later coming out with a pitcher for me and Brandon, since he took the second one. I wasn't too thirsty, having had just about two before we even left. I ordered my usual, for those of you just tuning in with me, a Chicken Fajita Rollup, light lettuce, light pico, ranch, no mexi-ranch, no pickle, no garnish is my "regular" at Applebee's. Tonight's was very disappointing. The rollup was small, it was lopsided with the meat being on one side, and the rest being virtually cheese and tortilla. The fries were "white and anorexic" as I later explained to Tina. Erin and Brandon were thoroughly embarassed for what I think was the first time of the evening, but easily one of many. Tina was nice, and brought me back a "tanner" batch of Fries, they were a tad burned. A subpar meal at Applebee's, but we did order dessert, and my goodness, the Fudge Brownie Sundae is absolutely delicious. If you're not too full from your entree, and you want a dessert, I highly advise ordering this. Delicioso! I wished Tina a good evening, and hope to see her again before I leave. Although, I'd wished we had Jaide instead, but alas, Jaide is the "To-Go" girl, and doesn't wait tables. I'm not really sure whose loss that is. In any case, its bleh.
We went to the Suncoast, "Bowling Tina" called in sick tonight, and it further imbalanced my Tuesday evening routine. Not to mention, my flourescent yellow and orange bowling shoes were in use on someone else's feet this evening. Thoroughly disappointing. We were on lane 50. I went 2-1 against Brandon, who was "off his game" this evening. I average a 124, even having had my Tuesday habits rattled into oblivion.
We left and hit up Baskin Robbins. Fargol wasn't working this evening, however there was a very cute girl behind the counter. She reminded Brandon of the Huntrachova tennis player, she's a cutie, but I didn't think of her. I did agree that she was a cutey. We talked about the old days, high school. Ah, good times, good times.
We stayed until just before closing. I wished both girls behind the counter a good evening, and thanked them for having us. Erin and Brandon laughed off their embarassment. Its fun to be with me, there's no way you can be the most embarassing person, I guess. In any case, it was a fun night. We all returned to Brandon's house, talked on his driveway for a bit. Then I took Erin home, and sped off to my house. It was a wonderful evening that I look forward to repeating, though I don't think it will be that way for at least a few months. Good times. Good times.
