Astounding....
I am 19. Finals are over. I've passed my classes with, what I predict are flying colors (relatively speaking). I'm sitting here at work, with four and a half hours to go until I go back to my room, do laundry, pack up my last belongings, and chill out for the rest of the evening before I go to bed, and catch my flight back to Vegas. Its truly been an experience here at college, which fortunately and unfortunately, didn't see any documentation here...
Out of this, my first year at college, I take home some very close friends, a short list of enemies, and a few nuggets of wisdom.
1) Sisters have weird and unpredictable relationships, that it is most likely best to avoid... at all costs.
2) "Friends with Benefits" is an awkward thing, and if ever I decide to do it again, it will be more on my terms than someone else's.
3) I will give more thought to "relationships" before I start dabbling in them.
4) Never underestimate the power of a good night's sleep.
Mostly things to do with girls, but they need to be said regardless. Lest history repeat itself.
Interesting to note: I have not had a drop of alcohol this year, which is both impressive and sad at the same time considering my floor was 80% borderline alcoholics. Nor have I dabbled in any use of 'illegal' substances, though 55% of my floor were pot-heads. I still don't really have any interest in smoking pot, but I think given the proper circumstances I might partake in some drinking next year, but nothing to the extent that my floor, or my roommate participated in. Apparently, he was quite the drinker, who knew?
Comparatively, I think I've done quite well here though my extracurricular activities fell short of my parents' desires, I believe I will be far more active in the coming years, similar to the way it was in high school. I look forward to summer session when I'll have a non-alcoholic, non-stoner, non-stinkass roommate to live with, who shares similar interests in a variety of things to me, and who also shares the same beliefs with regard to the opposite sex as me.
