Oof!
Summer School has wound down. I am exhausted, both physically and mentally.
I was up til 2am last night (or rather this morning) prepping for my Marketing and Psych exams. I had a horrible headache around 10:30pm, not to mention wanting to throw-up; don't ever mix Popcorn and Ritz Crackers. So, I hocked 800mg of Motrin (basically 4 extra strength Advil), popped in my retainers, and took a shower. 11:30pm, I felt refreshed and free of what ailed me.
Anyway, I slept like a log until about 7:20 this morning. I couldn't sleep any more for fear of missing my finals, so I got up, and started unplugging electronic stuff so I could move it in between tests. I didn't get much done, headed off to breakfast, took my Marketing final, and went back to prepping stuff for movement. Took my Psych exam, and started moving the stuff from one hall to the other.
I started around 11:40, taking 10 minutes per trip from Point A to Point B in 85 degree weather, carrying various items weighing upwards of 60 pounds. 5 times. Needless to say, I built up a nice sweat. And my arms are going to be sore tomorrow.
I still have a bit more to move later, but I had to stop for lunch and now work. I'm at work now, unfortunately I forgot my notebook, so quotes will have to wait til later (maybe tonight, maybe Saturday, I'm not sure) -- Anyway, today is my last day of work for almost 2 weeks. And it is the last day of the semester, which means I get my job evaluation from my boss.
On a scale of 1-5, in every category I got sparkly 5s. Not to mention wonderful comments about how I am both an able team player and work fine on my own; how I tackled any job asked of me without any complaint. Also, how I was/am reliable in the/this time of change. (We had a bunch of lay-offs, and basically a 180 degree switch in the system for which I am basically tech support.) Sparkling review all around. Yay me. Cha-ching a 3% raise for next semester! Wootah. Oh yeah, the kicker, my boss wants to take me out to lunch when I get back. Kickass.
Still looking forward to crashing on my bed for 12+ hours on Sunday.
-----------------------------
Blah, I still have stuff to do. Gotta go sell books back to the bookstore. Laundry, pack clothes, move my monitor, and probably a suitcase into work. Then I will relax for a short evening, probably watch a movie with a friend, and wake up early to go to the airport tomorrow. Good times.
I can taste the pretzel already...It's a tradition, every time I go to the airport, I get an Auntie Anne's Original Pretzel. Mmm Mmm good.
