Today was very eventful....
We start at midnight, because, hey, that's when the day really "begins" isn't it? Although, I wouldn't hesitate to refer to it as night in any other situation.
Midnight: I think I was reading... as I tend to do over vacation. Though, I rarely read anything unassigned, while at school. I more than make up for it while at home.
One-ish a.m.: I tried re-starting the story I had started while trying to study a while ago. It's getting better, but, it needs work, and I'm not sure where I want to take it.
One-thirty-ish a.m.: I got out of bed, where the reading and writing take place, and surveyed my room. I decided it was time to tidy it up a bit. Because, it's early in the morning, and there's not much to do - Let's clean the room! I went through a moderately sized bookcase, organizing, throwing stuff away, and doing a little bit of reading. Did you know I missed school on October 10th, 2000, and didn't turn in the note for my absence? I found a couple of things I wrote when I was younger. I only really did forced writings back then, as opposed to spending any of my leisure time doing anything other than watching tv, "hanging out" or playing video/computer games.
Three-Fifteen a.m.: Use the facilities and noticed light coming from downstairs, indicating my mother was still awake. I wandered down stairs and paid her a visit, only to discover she was chewing gum. Now you must understand, I can not be within spitting distance of my mother when she chews gum. It is something I absolutely can not stand to hear, or see, it is the ultimate way to get me to leave the room, a conversation, whatever. I despise it. I said hello and goodnight. She said, what are you still doing up. You need to do more around here. I'm on vacation, leave me be. Good night.
Three-Thirty a.m.: Went to sleep.
Eleven-Thirty? a.m.: I was awakened when I received a phone call from the optometrist's office attempting to confirm my appointment for tomorrow at eleven a.m. Terribly exciting. Hung up. Rolled over, and went back to sleep.
Two p.m.: Contemplated getting out of bed. Layed there, half-awake, half-asleep.
Two-Oh-Eight p.m.: Phone rings. Mom calling to tell me to let the dog out, give her her pills, and feed her.
Two-Fifteen p.m.: Got out of bed, took my pup outside, gave her her pills and fed her "lunch."
Two-Forty-Five p.m.: Made a Wolfgang Puck - barbeque chicken pizza. Popped in disc one for the first season of Friends.
Three-Fifteen p.m.: The pizza is done, and I'm onto episode two.
Three-Thirty p.m.: My sister calls looking for my mother. I'm 2/3rds done with the pizza. We talk about various things for half an hour.
Four p.m.: My pizza is cold. I reluctantly finish it. And start into the third episode of Friends having decided I am going to buy season one of Smallville when I get back to Boulder.
Five p.m.: Finish watching the fourth episode, wondering if I am anything like Alan, a character who was never seen again on the show; or if I am more like Chandler, sans the smoking habit.
Five-Forty p.m.: Mom came home with Taco Bell for dinner. It was alright. And it seems the theory is true, they have stopped putting chives? (the little green things) on the Mexican pizza. I used to pick them off, I always thought they put too many on. But it looks barren without them now.
Six p.m.: Came over to use my mother's computer and check the site. Posted and read a few responses. Read the blogs for the last 24ish hours, and posted this.
Six-Thirty p.m.: Was bothered by my mother about not having showered, or changed in the last 50+ hours.
Plans for the rest of the evening: Probably read, maybe write if I feel so inclined. And go to bed early, because I must wake up early for the optometrist.
I'm on vacation, leave me alone. Jeez...
