I got a "big" haircut on Friday. How can I get a big haircut? Odd turn of phrase. How do you turn a phrase? I got lots of hair shortened from atop my head.

I have hung out with a few friends since I've been home. Went bowling with my buddy Mikey, got my clock cleaned, as usual, but I was glad to get some sort of physical activity accomplished; even if it was just bowling. My ass always hurts afterward. And no, bowling is not a slang-term. My form always gives my ass, literally, a work out. And so I hobble around for the days following.

I got together with my friend Monica. We saw Return of the King and went out to dinner. She again came yay close to attempting to convert me to Christianity, but I'm too stubborn to even give her the time of day about it. She used to be really cool, but Kristal converted her, and now the only thing going on in Monica's life is Jesus. I respect that, but she is a far less intersting person now; I miss the old Monica, even if she believes she is happier now.

I hung out with my friend Erin. I love Erin soooo much. She has an inner drama queen, and I am the epitome of anti-drama. It's amazing we can stand each other. We've got five and a half years of history; we still remember the first time we met each other - we talked about it last night.. We hung out for a little under 8 hours, and it was a total blast, even if we both spent a ton of money. We sat and just talked, something I absolutely love doing.

One of my favorite things to do is meet a new person, and just sit in a relatively quiet, secluded place, and just talk. What better way to find out everything you ever wanted to know about someone new? I get a total charge out of it. Being let into someone's world, as told by them. Something truly amazing... in my opinion.

It occurs to me the spacebar for this computer is fixed... now that I've used it a number of times. It used to stick, and would absolutely drive me bonkers.

I hate dial-up.

I don't like not having more than 7 channels to watch. It makes channel surfing unbelievably boring.

I've been writing a little bit, and reading a lot.

I finished Leno's book and Band of Brothers. I highly, highly recommend you read Band of Brothers by Stephen E. Ambrose. It's an amazing story, and the (epic) mini-series that HBO did directed by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg was based on the book, which is based on the experiences and history of Easy Company of the 101st Airborne, 506th P.I.R. I'm not a big WWII history buff, but it is truly an amazing story (and true at that). I was helping in the ongoing construction project that is cleaning rooms in this house of my parent's. I wandered into my sister's room, and took a look at the books she had, and discovered Jerry Seinfeld's book, Sein Language which was decent, and a different format/genre of humor from Leno's book, but still provided a few laughs. I finished it fast, and am now looking for something new to read. I found the Bible Code lying around, my roommate thought it was interesting, so I think I'll probably read that now. If anyone has a suggestion on something "good" to read (fiction, non-fiction, biography, what have you) please feel free to make a suggestion, and I'll see if I can pick it up at the library.

I didn't get to read the other Advertising book I wanted to, the library didn't have it, so I'll end up picking it up when I get back to school. I am still very, very excited about the coming semester.

Take it easy folks. Please, please have a safe and happy new year's.
