That All You've Got

One more day before I bask in the warm glow of the weekend. I've got through what I would deem the toughest parts; Tuesday and Thursday. I'm going to give it another few classes before I decide if I'm going to drop one of my really tough classes. Between the two of them, I have a 2-3 page paper, and 60 pages to read. Meanwhile, I've got three other classes calling on my attention, so it is all an exercise in time management.
Last night, after I got back from the rec center, I had two messages from my friend Hannah, wanting me to call her back. I did, and she and three of her old high school friends wanted me to come over and hang out. Unfortunately, after being at the rec center for two hours, I tend to have an odd smell, and some homework left to do; needless to say, I was forced to decline due to time management and a mild odor. I decided my time would be better spent with homework and sleep than cute girls I would never live down having hooked up with/not see again for a semester (the latter happens to be the case with one of them).
Time management. The hours I work during this semester are truly awesome. They keep me busy, and are at perfect times to allow me to be productive in the event I haven't managed to get homework done the night before. By no means are they times for which I will leave homework to be done, but they are perfect for prioritizing some classes over others. I can put a little bit of Writing homework off for Anthropology, Physics or Spanish (depending on the day), etc. Time management, Determination, and my will to get the job done are going to either make or break me this semester.
If I can calm my mind before bed, and not spend too much time lying in bed trying to fall asleep, I may very well be a model of efficiency. Another question is, when will I socialize because, surely academics is only part of the college experience. I truly agree with that, and will try to make the most of my weekend (by not sleeping it away) or having to spend it doing homework. By making use of weeknights to get it done. Can I keep it up - Will I stay on top of things? If I keep the right mindset, I think I can.
