Wow, what an exciting game! There were nearly 3 times as many people as normal, and it was a great game. Very low scoring, because the defense of both teams totally showed up to play. On paper, Texas beat the crap out of Colorado, but it was a much closer game than it should've been for what the stats say.

Field Goals
Texas made 15 of 58 shots, 25.9% shooting.
Colorado made 14 of 44 shots, 31.8% shooting.
-- Texas took FOURTEEN more shots, and only made one more.

Rebounds
Texas had 17 offensive rebounds, and 41 total.
Colorado had 7 offensive rebounds, and 36 total.
-- Texas had TEN more offensive rebounds. No wonder they had FOURTEEN more shots.

Free Throws
Texas was 20 of 28 from the line, 71.4% shooting.
Colorado was 13 of 16 from the line, 81.3% shooting.
-- Texas had SEVEN more points from the line than CU, while missing 5 more.

Turnovers
Texas had 11 turnovers.
Colorado had 18 turnovers.
-- Colorado turned the ball over SEVEN times more than Texas.

Steals
Texas made 11 steals.
Colorado made 3 steals.
-- Nearly all of the steals by Texas came from bad passes (by CU). Big disparity here as well.

Final Score
#1/2 Texas 51
#12 Colorado 45

Despite the fewer attempts at scoring, the turnovers, and the piss poor defensive rebounding, it was a very, very exciting game. CU lead by 7 going into halftime, and Texas came out in the second with an 18-8 run. Until there were under 90 seconds left of the game, there was no larger than a four point lead for either team.

I was glad I went, and the crowd was totally into it. My voice was hoarse from yelling by halftime, but I got it back a few minutes into the second half. You Longhorns, get goin' to those games! You've got a great team, and you've only got two home games left before March Madness! If you like basketball at all, go!

I heart the Waner.
