Beautiful Day Outside

For the second day in a row, it was a beautiful day. It still is a beautiful day (or was at least, when I wrote this part), but I am just not motivated to do the carcinogenic, stay in the sun instead of going to class thing. Where I go out onto the field, with a towel and sunbathe, listen to music, throw a frisbee, or football, etc.
Although today, Spanish class was held outside which was both cool and sucky at the same time. Crappy grass, sloped hill which I almost rolled down about six times, and people couldn't hear each other. I did semi-de-ashify my legs though.
People already have sunburns, it's hilarious. And they, of course, aren't uniform. They go around invisible-sunglasses on faces. Good stuff.
Boring Stuff That Nobody Really Cares About to Follow
Yesterday, I was done with classes early, and shortly after I finished lunch peroozing various websites, I was IM'd by a friend I made over summer that I hadn't hung with in 6+ months, though we chat every now and then. It's kind of funny considering he's just a 5 minute bus-ride away, or a fifteen minute walk, if you prefer. He listed a number of outdoor activities for me to choose from, and I chose Basketball, very excitedly. You see, my only opponent for Basketball is Ross, he's five feet four inches, and not much of a challenge. I shoot over him, I run past him, he's not really into it. He beats me at Racquetball, I mop the floor with him at Basketball.
Brad, my buddy, is six foot three inches, two-hundred and forty-ish pounds, and likes to play. For those of you that don't know, which is most of you, I am six feet, and currently I weigh about one-hundred and seventy-five pounds. Anyway, he would provide a much, much greater challenge than Ross.. especially since he was playing Basketball every week-day over Summer (though long ago now). Anyway, he came by, picked me up, and we went to Target so he could buy a ball. We drove back to his place, hit up his room, changed, and went down to the courts. Luckily, someone who had been shooting opted to leave just as we walked up so we had a half-court to ourselves. We warmed up, and played some one-on-one. After forty minutes or so, the score was 11-4 (him), and we ended up taking in a guy from the game that just let out and played 21 for a while. Probably thirty minutes worth, before the kid that joined us finally hit 21. Then another guy joined us, and we had the makings of a two-on-two game. We played for thirty minutes or so, and it was a ton of fun. I ran around like a madman snatching up rebounds, made a few layups, and it was a great time. And by the time some more guys showed up to ask about maybe playing some four-on-four, my sides were screaming to stop, and so I called it a day. But damn if that wasn't fun.
I got back to campus, grabbed dinner, and had to lie down because I was so dead tired. Got interrupted by two phone calls, one from Ross asking about playing Racquetball, which we haven't done in a while; I said maybe Friday, but depending how I feel, and his schedule, it may be tomorrow that we next play. Then Mari called to ask if things were cool between us because we hadn't hung out in a while, or something. I'm not really sure, but I told her they were - because they are, and then I went on a rant about two-ply toilet paper and I can't recall why. But apparently, her sister agreed with me.. and that's about the time she opted to let me get back to resting.

Sunday was a nice day while the sun was up, I woke up at 1:30pm, watched the Lakers comeback to defeat the Nets, and never really got going. I went to a Purim Party and made Hamentashen, which was fun. Had a good time doing nothing and got back around 10pm. I ended up staying up til 2:30am because I couldn't sleep, but accomplished 2 classes homework for the week, so that was good.

Saturday, I woke up around 12:30pm, did some reading, and opted to go back to sleep. I got up around 5:30pm, took a shower, grabbed dinner with my roomie, and we hung out for a few hours before I went to the rec center at 11pm. Shot around a little bit, did some lifting and got back at 1am, just in time to watch South Park. Got to bed at 2:30am.
----------------------------------------------
Friday was an odd day. After losing and recovering my BuffOneCard, I got together with my friend Kristen. And we went to SuperCuts where she got a haircut. I opted out of getting mine cut because I want to "get my money's worth" and have my hair slightly more unmanageable before I commit to getting it cut - I am trying to grow it out after all. Afterwards, we walked over to The Olive Garden where we had a peaceful dinner, and I shamelessly shmoozed (just this side of flirting, although I think I probably crossed over into flirting by the end of the evening) with our waitress through the course of the meal. I had Chicken Allfredo with Broccoli tossed in, with two breadsticks and two servings of salad. A hearty, hearty meal. Also downed four or five Dr Peppers while I was at it. Good times.
After dinner, we walked back to her house where we hung out until 11:15ish. Her (almost, but not quite boy-)friend Chase came over and we chatted for a while. It was a really good time, I would approve of him as a boyfriend for her if he quit smoking. Really nice guy, we had similar attitudes, and it was interesting at one point... Don't ask me how this came up..
Me: Yeah, but I don't find guys sexually attractive.
Chase: That's fine, but I would argue with you that at the same time you can assess whether or not a guy is attractive based on his looks and attire.
Me: Nope, you can't argue that with me, because I don't disagree.
Wow, what an odd snippet of conversation, eh?
He ended up giving me a ride home, and I failed my mission of reacquiring Quagmire T.(ing) Quack (who I will have a picture of, to post, when he is returned to my possession). We chatted politics briefly and I liked what he had to say. Cool guy.
Got into my room at 11:30pm, checked the answering machine, grabbed my stuff, and ran off to the rec center in the hopes of playing some basketball, one-on-none, but alas the courts were full the whole time... totally sucked. But I did some cardio and lifting. Good times. Ended up going to bed at 3:30am, ouch.
